CSL Students Travelling to Attend Willem Wiese International Mock Trial

This year Caucasus University is participating in the simulated competition of Willem C. Vis Moot's International Commercial Arbitration, which is one of the most important and major competitions held internationally.

 

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot or Vis Moot is an international moot court competition created in 1994, where about 400 universities take part in annually. The goal of the competition is to research and study topical issues of international commercial law and international commercial arbitration.  

 

Members of the Caucasus School of Law are: Irakli Bitskinashvili, Tamar Shioshvili, Mari Sharadze and Nino Mamuchadze. They took part in the eighth preparatory competition of Tbilisi's moot process and got positive reviews from arbitrators.

 

Within the competition, the team competed at the University of Buceiris (Germany), Pasua University (Germany), Baku University (Baku) and the Central Asian American University (Kyrgyzstan).

 

With the financial support of Caucasus University, the team will travel to Vienna, the capital of Austria, which will host the 26th Willem C. Vis nomination on April 12-19, 2019.

 

BLB's contribution are worth mentioning, they supported the CU team when the team took the first place on the preparatory competition held in the company and received a cash prize.
