Start-up Weekend Youth Tbilisi

On June 15-17, school event Start-up Weekend Youth Tbilisi in which almost 50 pupils participated was held. The International Project by Google lasted during three days before which the participants met with speakers and mentors and attended workshops to facilitate implementation of start-up ideas.

 

The winner team was revealed and awarded various prizes, including a 1000 GEL voucher from Caucasus University to fund the tuition fee of the future students if they enroll in the University. The winners were: Anano Naruashvili, Ani Tamazashvili, Gvantsa Misheladze, Ianor Bedia, Nini Abesadze and Erekle Bregadze. All the students involved in the project were given certificates of participation.

 

The students set up working teams for processing innovative ideas proposed by them; they were assisted by successful business people who shared their experience with them and gave advice. The workshop participant was Start-up accelerator of Caucasus University C10.

 

It was the first time the School 21st Century implemented Google’s international project in cooperation with the global organization in Georgia the aim of which was developing innovative, creative and entrepreneurial skills among school children.
