Scientific-Practical Conference

On April 2, 2017, by organizing Caucasus University, East European University, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia was held Scientific-Practical Conference: ’’Boosting PhD Dissertations Quality, as the key Opportunity for Country’s Innovative Potential Growth’’.

 

Director of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement – Tamar Sanikidze opened the conference. 

 

Conference participants were: Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Head of Higher Education and Science Development Department – Irine Darchia, Coordinator of The National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) Georgia - Lika Ghlonti, Professor, Social Sciences Doctoral Programs Coordinator at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) - Natia Chighvaria, Professor at Grenoble Academy of Management - Sebastien Jocallie, West London College of Business &Management Science (WLCBMS), Researcher at Institute of Education- Curriculum, Pedagogy & Assessment Department, Doctor of Education - Kakhaber Lazarashvili, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani - Ekaterine Natsvlishvili, Head of Innovations and Commercialization Department, GITA – Akaki Mamaladze, Vice-President in Science Affairs at Caucasus University, Professor/ PhD - Shalva Machavariani

 

The following issues were discussed at the conference: Doctoral Education in Georgia within the Context of Salzburg; The Necessity of  Doctoral Internationalization in Georgia; Cooperation Significance within Universities to Boost PhD and Young Researcher’ Potential ; The Problem of Doctoral Programs Integration in International Academic Area;  Vocational Doctorate Role for Professional Development, the Case of Britain ; Sector Committee Significance for Improving Education System and Human Capital Development; Effective Commercialization of Scientific Research Outcome for Increasing  Small and Medium-sized Industries’ Competitiveness; From Idea to the Commercial Success; Opportunities for Increasing Dissertations Quality.                      

                                                                                                                                                                                 

At the end of the Conference debates were held, crucial ideas were discussed and regarding PhD dissertations quality improvement as a key opportunity of innovative potential growth of the country
