Competition in Research Activities for University’s Internal Funding

Caucasus University announces a competition for obtaining internal university funding for research activities.

 

The aim of the competition is to promote the academic process based on research, the development of university research potential and the integration of academic personnel affiliated to Caucasus University into the international scientific sphere, as well as the integration of MA and PhD students in national and international scientific fields.

 

Within the framework of the competition research facilitating the development of fundamental, applied, academic activities will be funded.

 

Applications can be submitted individually and / or in groups to obtain funding:

 

  • Individual person seeking funding can be academic personnel affiliated with Caucasus University.
  • If a group is in need of funding, then the head of the research project should be an academic staff member (professor or associate professor) affiliated with Caucasus University. Other members may be staff of another university or organization, Doctorate students or graduate students of Caucasus University.

 

The amount requested for each research project should not exceed 25,000 GEL (including taxes as envisaged by the Georgian legislation):

 

  • Academic staff affiliated with Caucasus University can apply for additional research expenses only for research (for example, to travel to a conference, to hire an assistant, publication financing, editorial services, specific techniques, primary research financing, etc.) within the framework of the internal university financing competition.
  • The research project personnel who do not receive salary payments from Caucasus University for research activities, except for covering the expenses for research, can also claim the royalty that corresponds to the limit of Caucasus University and should be agreed with the Financial Department of Caucasus University.

 

In order to participate in the competition, the applications must be registered from June 15 - 30 18:00 pm to the following address: funding@cu.edu.ge

 

Applications submitted after the deadlines will not be considered.

 

The project proposal includes:

 

  • Application for the inner university funding of research project (Appendix 1);
  • Description of Research Project (Appendix 2);
  • Professional resumes of persons involved in the research project (head researchers; administrative staff).
