CSH Students Participate in the National Student Conference

On July 3, 4 and 6, at the initiative of Sokhumi State University, for the sixth time this year, the Traditional National Scientific Conference for M.S. and Students "Chronograph 2020" was held. The conference was conducted online using the Zoom platform and was interdisciplinary in nature.

 

Together with the students of Sokhumi State University, students of Caucasus University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia participated in the conference.

 

The conference was opened by the Rector of Sokhumi State University, Professor Zurab Khonelidze, who spoke about the importance of student involvement in scientific research. For three days, 31 students prepared 28 papers in the plenary, history and social sciences and education sciences sections.

 

Papers from Caucasus University were presented at the conference by the students of Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences:

 

  • Ana Archvadze - Second year student of the Bachelor’s degree in European Studies program - "The issue of Georgia's foreign policy orientation: neutrality or integration with the West?" Supervisor: David Natroshvili, Master of International Relations
  • Sophio Bakradze - Second year student of the Bachelor’s degree program in European Studies - "The Green Deal" - Future Prospects and Impact on Georgia ". Supervisor: Guranda Chelidze, Doctor of History, Professor at Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Ani Khutsishvili - Third year student of the Bachelor's degree program in Sociology - "Civic Activism of Georgian Youth". Supervisor Flora (Keso) Esebua, Doctor of Sociology, Professor at Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences

 

According to the decision of the conference organizers, the students' reports will be published in the student collection and posted on the website of Sokhumi State University.
