CAUCASUS MEDICINE SCHOOL

Caucasus School of Economics and Healthcare was founded in 2012 as the Healthcare School, which in December 2013 after the program extension and new programs addition was renamed. In 2018 the Schools of Economics and Healthcare was divided into two and the Schools of Medicine and Healthcare Management were set up. Since 2023, it has continued to operate under the name Caucasus School of Medicine.

 

The mission of the Caucasus School of Medicine is to educate and prepare competitive, qualified, highly ethical graduate physicians with deep and systematic knowledge, appropriate skills, essential competencies, and professional values for local and international labor markets, and to meet the needs of society, thereby contributing to the fulfillment of the overall mission of Caucasus University.

 

The objective of the Caucasus School of Medicine is to provide students - future physicians with medical education that meets contemporary international standards and is evidence-based, aligned with trends in medical development, the local public health context, advances in medical technologies, and global and local challenges. It also aims to develop students’ abilities to conduct and analyze scientific research, to cultivate ethical values and attitudes, and to foster motivation for continuous medical education and professional skills development, professionalism, and a constant commitment to enhancing individual and team responsibility.

 

A Master’s Program in Public Health also operates within the school. With the view of improving health of Georgian population, enhancing the healthcare quality, meeting the international standards and securing financial stability of healthcare institutions, the goal of Public health program  is: to enable master’s students to acquire in-depth theoretical, methodological, and research principles of public health, and to develop the ability to independently plan research in this field, as well as to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
