About Us

The history of Caucasus University began in 1998 when Caucasus School of Business was established. Its motto is "Studium Pretium Libertatis".
 

CU offers students a high level of education, international programs, practice-oriented teaching. The training of highly qualified specialists is provided by lecturers with international qualifications.

 

Caucasus University consists of schools of Business, Law, Media, Technology, Architecture and Design, Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tourism, Medicine and Healthcare Management, Economics, Education. The University has the right to award academic degrees of Bachelor, Master, Doctor and Medical Doctor to the graduates in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Georgia. The university has a training center and offers a variety of certification programs.

 

Caucasus University Undergraduate Program in Tourism has received the World Tourism Organization’s TEDQUAL Certificate. Caucasus University is the first in Georgia and one of the first in the region to successfully pass the certification process.

 

Caucasus University became a member of the AACSB in 2007, and in 2018 gained the right to start the accreditation process. Caucasus School of Business has successfully passed several important stages and is preparing for the final stage of the accreditation process.

 

The Caucasus University English-language architecture program has been designated as a candidate for membership in the world's most famous and prestigious professional organization, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). This provides students and graduates with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to receive the highest quality education in one of the most sought-after fields, as well as a diploma recognized on the international market, after completing the program.

 

Caucasus University has been cooperating with various universities around the world since its establishment and currently has 207 partner universities in 61 countries. This fact allows the university to receive foreign students and lecturers, have dual degree programs, as well as exchange programs for students, academic and administrative staff. Consequently, students are given the opportunity to participate in exchange programs. They travel abroad intensively, and at the same time, citizens of other countries study with us.

 

98% of Caucasus University graduates and 80% of students are employed in both the private and public sectors, as well as in international companies and organizations throughout Georgia and around the world.

 

The CU Campus, with its modern infrastructure and equipment is one of the largest higher educational institutions in Georgia and in the region.

 

The building is historic, built in 1909. In 1911-1924, an Armenian seminary functioned in this place. The building has been under renovation for several years and the historic monument has been preserved as much as possible. All parts of the former seminary that could be restored were restored.

 

Caucasus University has been implementing educational programs in Batumi in the field of Tourism, Law and Economics since 2010. Construction of a new CU campus in Batumi has already started. The building will be equipped with modern infrastructure, a library, laboratories, sports fields and a swimming pool. A student dormitory will also be built. Caucasus University campus in Batumi will offer undergraduate and graduate programs. Two new majors will be added to the Batumi campus - Caucasus Maritime School and Culinary Academy. There will be a training center at the university.
