The final event of the INTEGRITY project

On October 5, the first International Conference on Academic Integrity was held as part of the “INTEGRITY” project. Caucasus University President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, signed a declaration of academic integrity at the conference.

 

The conference was the final event of the 2017 Erasmus + CBHE Institutional Development Grant Competition project "Integrity For Quality Teaching And Learning In Higher Education Institutions In Georgia (INTEGRITY)".

 

At the conference, representatives of the universities discussed issues of academic integrity and the results achieved by the project. Caucasus University was represented by Ms. Eka Akobia, Associate Professor at the university and the Dean of the School of Governance. She discussed effective strategies for promoting academic integrity.

 

On October 6-7, a project management meeting was held, where Ms. Tamar Chokoraia, Head of the Academic Writing Center at Caucasus University, spoke about the sustainable development plans of the results achieved.

 

12 Georgian universities participated in the project (coordinator - Ilia State University), including Caucasus University, 4 European universities (Roehampton, Uppsala, Vienna and Dublin universities), as well as the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement.
