Caucasus University Green Tourism Hub Holds Meeting with Representatives of the Agency of Protected Areas

On 22 April, within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project ENRICHER Hubs – “Enhancing the Green Tourism Concept through Knowledge", a stakeholder meeting was held between Nata Sultanishvili, Head of the planning and Development Department of the Agency of Protected Areas, Natia Andguladze, Product Development Specialist at the Agency of protected Areas, and Nato Robitashvili, Affiliated Assistant Professor at the Caucasus Tourism School of Caucasus University.

 

The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation with key stakeholders within the project, discuss the current needs and challenges related to sustainable tourism development, and identify opportunities to foster closer collaboration between higher education institutions and the labor market.

 

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on current trends in green tourism, the role of protected areas in promoting sustainable tourism, and the competencies and practical skills that are essential for future professionals in the tourism sector.

 

The meeting outlined priority areas for future cooperation, including the provision of academic support in the research and interpretation of protected areas, the planning and implementation of joint initiatives and activities, and the active involvement of diverse stakeholders in the activities of the Green Tourism Hub established in the framework of the project.
