Since December 2023, within the framework of the joint project "Entrepreneurial Education, The Road to Innovation, Equality and Quality" of Caucasus University and Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, a 3-month mentor training program led by representatives of the International Project partner George Washington Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GWOIE).
Within 3 months, mentors from Caucasus University and Samtskhe-Javakheti State University had the opportunity to receive theoretical and practical experience from experienced instructors of the George Washington office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship not only on mentoring, but also on key issues, challenges and approaches to strengthening the startup ecosystem, also, American colleagues shared knowledge with Georgian participants of the American National Science Foundation About the latest learning approaches to the Innovation Corps (I-Corps program), partnership network models, and best American practices. During the training, participants were involved in both individual and group interactive sessions to discuss and receive practical advice on opportunities for cooperation with industry and the private sector. In addition, in February of this year, the training participants virtually monitored the projects and development process of American startup teams and the process of teaching, evaluating and further development by the instructors, and after observing the process, discussed and summarized the results of startups with mentors.
The main goal of the project “Entrepreneurship Education - Pathway for Innovation, Inclusion and Quality " is to modernize higher education programs and learning environment and strengthen their connection with the labor market. The project implements with the support of the Competitive Innovation Fund CIF (Georgia I2Q Innovation, Inclusion and Quality Competitive Innovation Fund), the Ministry of Education and Science and the World Bank.
