On October 15, during the Erasmus+ days, the presentation of the new Jean Monnet module (2022-2025) - "Seasonal data protection school based on European Union practice - Data Sec School" - was held in the conference hall of Caucasus University.
The meeting was chaired by: Professor Maksim Iavich, Head of the Cyber Security Department, Director of the Cyber Security Center; Archil Shengelia, chief cyber security specialist at the Cyber Security Center; Giorgi Akhalaia, PhD candidate in computer science, chief cyber security specialist at the Cyber Security Center; Dr. Giorgi Iashvili, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of Cyber Security Center;
Shota Nizharadze, Dean of the Caucasus School of Technology, welcomed the audience with a speech.
Speakers presented the following thematic presentations at the event:
- Presentation of Jean Monet's new module - "Seasonal School of Data Protection Based on EU Practices - Data Sec School": project goals, specification and features of the training program
- GDPR and the importance of data protection education in Georgia based on EU studies, within the seasonal school
- Seasonal School target audience and activities for all categories
- Expected impact and results of the project.
The audience had the opportunity to get comprehensive answers to important and interesting questions in the event's final segment.
