Ilia State University is hosting a one-and-a-half-day seminar on "Experiencing Europe" within the framework of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Networks project “Linking Europe At the Periphery (LEAP)", which invites researchers, doctoral students and other experts in social sciences and humanities from different fields.
The seminar will focus on issues such as how Europe is perceived and what impact Europe has in general and the EU in particular on the daily lives of peripheral countries and societies. The second part of the seminar will focus on a lecture "Ambiguities of Europe: Reimagination of Identity, Borders and Societal Orders" by Thomas Diez, Professor at the University of Tübingen.
The workshop will be held on March 29-30, 2021 using the program “Zoom”.
The seminar is organized by Ilia State University. The change in the format of the workshop depends on the development of the COVID 19 pandemic. In case the seminar is held in a non-distance mode, the organizing party will cover the costs of lunch, coffee breaks and accommodation of the seminar participants.
The project does not cover travel expenses.
