At the Caucasus University bookstore "Librarea", a meeting was held on October 31 with candidates chosen for training as part of the "Gastronomical Bootcamp" project.
The audience was greeted with a speech by: Caucasus University Vice President for Research and Strategic Development Buba Lezhava, Chairman of the Board of the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association of Georgia - Tamriko Sikharulidze, Director of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program David Blood, head of the private sector engagement group of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program Irina Tserodze and Davit Narimanishvili, board member of the Gastronomic Business Association of Georgia.
The four top chefs chosen for the "Gastronomical Bootcamp" project's first stream also attended the event. They will impart their knowledge to the participants of the second stream and train them in two areas: gastronomic training in contemporary trends and avant-garde techniques, and gastronomic training in creativity and serving.
The chefs - Irakli Todadze, Aleksandre Baindurashvili, Ani Ishkhanova and Ioseb Jabanashvili - introduced themselves to the audience and wished success to the participants of the second stream of the project.
The meeting's organizers and chefs also informed the attendees about the trainings and the project.
The project is implemented by Caucasus University within the framework of cooperation with the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program, in cooperation with the Basque Culinary Center and the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association. The host of the trainings is the “Tamtini” Pastry School.
