On November 10, at 14:00, a workshop on "Introduction to Lean Startup" was held at the Caucasus University conference hall, led by Bob Smith, the Director of Lean Startup programming and the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) programming director at GW.
The event covered following topics: 1) how early-stage entrepreneurs should think 2) an overview of the commercialization process 3) the fundamentals of customer discovery methods and idea-to-market 4) how to properly pitch to investors, and more.
Caucasus University students, academic and administrative staff, as well as external stakeholders participated in the workshop. At the end of the event, a Q&A session was held, and the attending public had the opportunity to get detailed information on issues of interest to them.
The meeting was held within the framework of the "University Capacity Development" (UCBP) program, implemented under the administration of the American Councils for International Education and with the financial support of the US Embassy in Georgia. The program aims to develop entrepreneurial culture in higher educational institutions of Georgia, promote the process of commercialization of technologies and strengthen cooperation between universities, business and government structures.
