MEDIA DIALOGUE 2021 FOR CONFLICT SENSITIVITY AND RESEARCH – PROJECT WORKSHOP IN LVIV

On November 21-24, students of Caucasus School of Media: Ana Tatehvili, Elene Tvauri and Mariam Bekaia visited Lviv, Ukraine, within the framework of the project Media Dialogue 2021 for Conflict Sensitivity and Research.

 

The project is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized by OK-TV Ludwigshafen a partner of Caucasus University. The project involves civil society organizations, journalisic associations, Higher Educational Institutions, etc. from Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia.

 

With the involvement of the project organizers and participants, the students  formed photo / blog, podcast,  video and research workgroups. The main topics of the meetings were the political systems in Ukraine, armed and frozen conflicts, pressure on the media and restrictions on professional activities for journalists.

 

During the visit, the participants and project organizers met with representatives of Ukrainian journalistic associations, TV and online media (the National Journalists Union, “Pershiy Zakhidniy” TV channel, “Zaxid.net”). In addition, various cognitive / cultural visits were conducted in the city of Lviv.

 

In the final part, a conference was held, during which the participants summarized the results of the project. The project will continue in the coming days in the city of Kiev.
