conference - Erasmus+ project "Strengthening the quality and relevance of the third mission in Georgian universities"
On March 6-7, , a two-day conference was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Strengthening the quality and relevance of the third mission in Georgian universities" (SQUARE), which was attended by Caucasus University's Vice President for Internationalization – Irena Melua, Vice President for Strategic Development – Boris Lezhava and other representatives.
At the conference, on one hand, Georgian universities presented the strategic development vision and plans for the "Third Mission" of universities developed in cooperation with European partners. On the other hand, European colleagues from Belgium, France, Portugal and Finland shared their experience in the direction of strengthening the "Third Mission" of the university.
It is important that not only universities participating in the project, but also all higher educational institutions operating in Georgia had the opportunity to participate in the conference.
On March 8, within the framework of the project, a meeting of the project consortium members was also held, which was chaired by the representatives of the Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum. At the meeting, Georgian and European partners evaluated the progress of the project and outlined future plans.
Within the project, Georgian Universities In cooperation with international partners will create methodologies and guidelines on planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the Third Mission and develop a Third Mission Strategy with the involvement of top management and structural units.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and National Center for the development of Education Quality will update the quality assurance system and increase the integration of the Third Mission activity evaluation into the quality assurance standard.
