ABOUT PROJECT

Erasmus + Jean Monnet Project "Legal Face of the European Union"

European integration is more internal policy than external. It serves to the development of the country and Georgian citizens.

Modern developments should have been reflected in laws. All influences of European integration should be felt by citizens of Georgia. Such conditions could not be achieved without legal reforms and reflection of European like practices at national level.

Georgians should be assured that the EU brings real freedom, values, commonwealth, security, safety, stability. Therefore, they should be educated and aware about real face of the EU – EU laws.

After 2014 many speak about the European values, but the real tangibility of EU laws is not well studied and then shared to others. If professionals and academia know better EU laws, they will impact positively on processes of European Integration:

Project Goal:

EU should be discovered in legal norms and integrated in discussing process with academic and professional world.  Boosting of EU law studies inside the HEI and afterwards delivering the EU law knowledge outside the HEI – is the main goal of the project.

Consequently, the new processes of dissemination should have the effect of “Learn In and Teach Out (study and transfer)”.

Caucasus University/CU as one of the best place for European thinking and action, is willing to start studying of different EU law fields, preparing trainings and wide-scale training courses for different target groups, including: public administration, law professors from different universities, business representatives, etc.

Objectives of the project are:

  • Study specific fields of EU law by academic personal of the CU. This will lead to development of the EU legal studies and professional growth of the CU.
  • Teach specific field of EU law to professionals and academia outside the CU. This will lead to professional growths of others on the EU law, widespread information dissemination and promotion the AA implementation process via explaining the EU Laws.
  • Encourage the private-public dialog on EU laws and EU legal studies. This will lead to the open government partnership, when decision-makers will listen to academia and think further developments of educational policy.
