SECURE: Security Education Center for Unified Resilience and Effective Communications
SECURE is the project funded under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education program and implemented by a consortium of nine universities from Ukraine, Georgia, Portugal, Spain, and Lithuania. Caucasus University is one of these nine universities.
Project aims to develop two similar R&EHubs (in Ukraine and Georgia), taking into account and using as examples the EU countries’ universities best practices. R&EHubs will include three innovative laboratories in the field of Cybersecurity of 5G and beyond society. These two R&EHubs (UA and GE) will be a basis for the development labs, practical tasks in the framework of four educational courses (modules) within the project. Also, it will become a basis for the training of interested staff, upskilling program, conducting research activities, investigating cyberattacks in this area, etc. It is expected that all the laboratories will be cross-connected and the remote access to all interested stakeholders will be provided using one common R&EHub platform.
Main tasks of the SECURE are:
- Development of four new innovative courses in 5G and beyond network security
- Establishment of the Innovative Educational and Research Hub, which include three crossconnected virtual laboratories for developing the 5G and beyond network
- Establishment of R&EHub platform for communication of academia, business, government, and employment
- Teacher training and professional development of academic and administrative staff
- Establishing the international cybersecurity community in 5G and beyond to strengthen cooperation, research, and information exchange between the HEIs, businesses, industries, and government institutions
- Promotion of the adoption of EU best practices, framework, and strategic documentation on 5G and beyond network security
