French-Georgian University - PhD scholarship 2024-2025

The French-Georgian University, in cooperation with the French Institute of Georgia, announces a competition for a two-month scholarship for doctoral level Georgian students studying at a higher educational or scientific-research institution in Georgia.

 

This scholarship is aimed at financing a research period in France, within the framework of a French higher educational and scientific-research institution.

 

The stipend (€2,100 for a two-month period) will cover travel and living expenses in full or in part. The scholarship program will be implemented in 2024-2025 academic year.

 

Contestants must prepare a dossier that includes the following documents:

 

  • Duly completed resume and research project (see attached document)
  • Letter of invitation from a French scientific institution, which will accept a Georgian doctoral student in their team for two months.
  • Copy of passport (passport must be valid in France for 6 months after the end of the scholarship program).

 

Dossiers must be submitted in French or English.

 

The evaluation will depend on its scientific quality and the relevance of traveling to France to carry out the research project.
Knowledge of French will be an advantage.

The application deadline is July 5, 2024.

 

Students will be notified of the final decision no later than July 20, 2024. The period of travel to France is between September 2024 and April 2025.

 

On the part of the French-Georgian University, the doctoral fellows are required to submit a written report on their mission no later than three months after their return to Georgia. Also, scholarship holders may be required to present their own research within the framework of events organized by the French-Georgian University and its partners.
