The Vice President for Internationalization of Caucasus University, Ms. Irena Melua, participated in the General Assembly and Conference of the European University Association (EUA), held on 16 - 17 April 2026 in Istanbul.
The main objective of the conference was to strengthen cooperation among higher education institutions and enhance institutional resilience. The event brought together university leaders and academic professionals from across Europe to discuss the role and challenges of higher education in an increasingly fast-changing global environment.
The discussions placed particular emphasis on international collaboration, university resilience in times of change, strategic development, and effective partnership models. The conference served as an important platform for reflecting on current trends and exploring opportunities for deeper institutional cooperation.
The European University Association (EUA) is one of the largest university networks, bringing together more than 900 universities and national rectors’ conferences from 48 European countries. The organization actively contributes to the development of European higher education policy and practice, focusing on quality assurance, internationalization, governance, and funding, as well as implementing transnational and institutional development projects.
