Malta Medical Journal, an international peer-reviewed journal, published a scientific article by Caucasus University professor Tengiz Verulava on The Impact of Part-time Employment on Students' Health.
While studying at university, students not only acquire knowledge, but are also employed and work part-time or full-time.
Student employment affects their physical and mental health as well as academic achievement. The aim of the study was to assess the link between students ’employment health and academic achievement.
Research has shown that the majority of students choose jobs that do not require specialized skills, indicating that student employment is primarily related to income generation and does not contribute to the development of professional experience.
The findings of the study are an important source of information for universities, governmental and non-governmental organizations involved in the development of student employment promotion policies.
The Malta Medical Journal is indexed in the SCOPUS (Elsevier) International Science Database.
