On May 11–14, one of the most prominent events in the medical community - the International Conference organized by the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), ECO 2025 - was held in Malaga, Spain.
With full funding from the association, Natia Katamadze, an affiliated associate professor at the Caucasus School of Medicine, was invited to participate in the event.
Professor Katamadze presented a report titled “The Role of Probiotics in the Treatment of Obesity and Insulin Resistance.” Her presentation focused on the relevant topic of how intestinal microflora influences the progression of obesity. The report aroused considerable interest from a number of congress delegates, which was subsequently reflected in the feedback.
