Workshop for entrants - What is the profession of a sociologist and how to conduct research

On March 29, at 15:00, a workshop for sociology entrants was held on the campus of Caucasus University on the topic: "What is the profession of a sociologist and how to conduct research?"

 

The workshop was conducted by Flora (Keso) Esebua, Head of the Sociology Program at Caucasus University.

 

The entrants got acquainted with the issues covered in the workshop, were divided into groups and completed three different practical assignments.

 

The first task - working in a group on the topic: How to choose a profession in Georgia? - Participants discussed and formed opinions on how people choose a profession in general in the country.

 

Second - Focus discussion on the topic: How do we choose a profession? - The participants discussed the factors that specifically affect them in the process of choosing a profession.

 

Third - group work on the topic: How to choose a profession in Georgia? - In the framework of this assignment, based on the results of the first group work and discussion, as well as the information received on social research and sociology, the participants discussed the main criteria by which a profession is selected.

 

The workshop was conducted in an interactive format, entrants had the opportunity to receive comprehensive answers to questions of interest and importance to them.

 

Participants were given certificates of participation.
