On July 23, the award ceremony of the school competition in history was held in the conference hall of Caucasus University. The competition was organized by the "Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (dvv international). The competition was held under the patronage of Caucasus University, within the framework of the international network - EUSTORY, and a number of students and teachers from different schools across Georgia took part in it.
The first deputy chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Tamar Taliashvili, and the first secretary of the German Embassy in Georgia, head of the Press and Economy Department, Sara Zielonka, attended the ceremony. The winners of the competition were also addressed and presented with souvenirs by representatives of DVV International, the Georgian Association of History Teachers, the Laboratory of the Research of the Soviet Past, and the Caucasus University.
The Dean of Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Davit Natroshvili, on behalf of the university, presented commemorative gifts to the student of Akhalkalaki N1 public school, Alina Poloian, whose work was named the favourite by Caucasus University during the competition. It should be noted that Davit Tinikashvili, professor of Caucasus University, Doctor of History, participated in the work of the competition jury.
This competition was held in Georgia for the third time and will continue in the future. This year's theme of the competition was "30 years since the end of the Soviet Union".
