Meeting with academic staff within the Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Peace, Prosperity and Security

On 7, 8 and 10 April 2025, the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Peace, Prosperity and Security”  (EU-PPS) held training sessions on “Europeanisation of educational programmes” for academic staff and administrative directors of educational programmes at Caucasus University.

 

The trainings were conducted by Chair Professor Guranda Tchelidze, and were part of a specially designed trainig module and meeting agenda.

 

During the training programme, the participants engaged in a discourse on the subjects of European Union education policy, the role and influence of the European Community and the European Union institutions on the formation of the education system and the development of national education systems. Utilising the examples of successful projects.  Participants analysed how Europeanisation in education contributes to the development of teaching, research and innovation, greater integration and cooperation with higher education and research institutions of European countries. They also discussed the challenges in the educational space in this direction.

 

The training participants had the opportunity to ask questions on topics of interest to them in an interactive mode. The Sunday School was attended by 22 staff members of the Caucasus University. It is noteworthy that one of the meeting was conducted jointly with the Jean Monnet Chair EU PPS and the Centre for Georgian Studies at Caucasus University.
