A Russian-language monograph, against the background of the Russo-Caucasian War, discusses the establishment and strengthening of Russian ownership in Abkhazia, the abolition of the last Georgian political unit - the Principality of Abkhazia (1864); the 1866 uprising of the Abkhazians in order to restore the principality and its suppression; Russia's colonization policy in Abkhazia; 1864 of Abkhazians; the causes of Muhajiroba of 1867 and 1877, as a result of which the middle and upper part of the Kodori valley, and then the coast of Abkhazia, were completely emptied. The work discusses the most important historical document - the list of Abkhazian Muhajirs of 1867, compiled in Russian.
The project is funded through the 2022 competition for state scientific grants by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. The head of the project is Professor Buba Kudava.
