ACT OF INDEFENDENCE OF GEORGIA FROM THE PUBLICISTIC POINT OF VIEW AND LANGUAGE POLICY

The authors' research is limited to the Georgian periodicals " Sakartvelo " and " Ertoba ". As it is known, in 1918-1921 there were two radically different opinions about the political, social or cultural future of the country. These positions were most clearly reflected in the print edition of the National Democratic Party, in the newspaper “Sakartvelo”, and in the print edition of the Social Democratic Party, in the newspaper “Ertoba”. In terms of identity priorities, it probably became one of the main reasons for the Sovietization of Georgia in 1921.

Analysis and evaluation of the tendencies, priorities, political, socio-cultural, linguistic policy, educational, economic visions of the main periodicals of the First Republic of Georgia, "Sakartvelo" and " Ertoba " will be the subject of detailed research for a long time to identify the reasons for the inevitability of historical or cultural events and draw the appropriate conclusions;

Research was also valuable and important from a linguistic point of view, for example, what was the language of the named publications, whether the newspaper vocabulary was subject to certain rules / norms; Whether language policy issues were discussed publicly and related to the education system; What rubrics were preferred in the periodicals ...

The book will be valuable for readers interested in Georgian periodicals, journalism, press language, Georgian literary language issues and history; For relevant field professionals and students.
