Abstract:

The increase in the number of patients with heart failure in recent years is multifactorial and is partly due to an aging population, improved survival from acute cardiovascular events (e.g., myocardial infarction), and advances in primary and secondary prevention strategies that have extended life expectancy of patients.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate health-promoting behaviors in patients with heart failure. The findings revealed that patients’ health behaviors are significantly influenced by factors such as age, education level, disease duration, and adherence to physician recommendations.

The study emphasizes the importance of education-based and psychosocial support interventions, which can meaningfully improve patients' quality of life.
