Caucasus School of Technology announces a competition for the position of Associate Professor

Caucasus University, Caucasus School of Technology (CST) announces a competition for the position of Associate Professor (2 vacancies) in the following direction:

 

  • Electronics, associate professor - 2 vacancies.

 

Qualification requirements for associate professor: 

 

An individual with a doctoral academic degree or an equivalent qualification in the relevant field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical activities, will be selected as an associate professor for a duration of 7 years.

 

A qualified person with professional qualifications can be chosen for the position of assistant professor. In this case, professional experience, special training, and/or publications may be used to confirm the person’s qualifications. A person with the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes of the program is considered to have the relevant qualification.

 

Additional requirements:

 

Knowledge of English language (not less than B2 level).

 

English language proficiency may be proven by the following: a valid International Certificate of English Language Proficiency at the B2 level, evidence of completing an English-language academic degree program at the Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. level within the last 3 (three) years, or citizenship of a country where English is the official language.

Applicants are required to provide: 

 

  • Resume in Georgian and English (CV must include information on teaching and research)
  • A copy of an identity document;
  • Copies of educational records (certificates and academic degrees) (documents verifying the attainment of a doctoral/master's/bachelor's degree or an equivalent academic degree). In the case of doctoral candidates, include the notice of enrollment in a doctoral program.
  • Required documentation to verify the legitimacy of an overseas thesis defense;
  • Certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity and information on the workload in other HEIs during the last year;
  • Comprehensive details on any articles, books, monographs, or other scientific work, including the title, place of publication, date, the number of pages, publisher's name, and copies of the covers. For the competition, publications from the last 5 years are especially relevant.
  • Certificates, awards and other documents;
  • B2 level English language certificate (if applicable)
  • Other documentation corresponding to the criteria established for the purpose of holding an academic/scientific position, documents certifying professional experience.

 

The competition will be held in three stages:

 

Stage I - Sorting of submitted documents;

Stage II - Presentation/Interview;

Stage III - Summary of the competition.

 

 

  • Announcement of the competition: January 30, 2024;
  • Submission period: from March 1, 2024 to March 10, 2024;
  • Competition duration March-April 2024;
  • Competition location: Tbilisi City, Paata Saakadze #1;
  • Publication of results: April 2024.
