On November 5-6, the International Economic Forum of Hongqiao was held in Shanghai within the framework of the Second China International Import Expo.

The forum was attended by Dr. Kakha Shengelia, the President of the International Association of University Presidents and Caucasus University, where he was invited by the forum host, the State Council Office, P.R. China and the organizer - the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Five sessions were held in parallel at the expo, one of which was ‘China’s 70-Year Development and the Construction of the Community with a Shared Future for Mankind’. Dr. Kakha Shengelia was one of the keynote speakers at the forum.

The forum was attended by former international dignitaries, leaders and scholars from Chinese and International Think-Tanks, heads of international organizations where they discussed the following topics: Multi-path exploration of modernization; China's impact on the historical process of economic globalization; Economic growth and inclusive development; Openness, cooperation and civilization dialogue on; Consultation, contribution, shared benefits and  global governance; Comparison of poverty alleviation and reduction between China and other countries; Ecological civilizations and sustainable development.
