Architecton contest for architecture entrants

Caucasus University announces the competition - Architecton - for future architects.

 

The competition will be held in the Caucasus University conference hall in two stages, on December 16, at 16:00 and on December 17, at 09:00.

 

First stage - master class

The participants will be given a master class on the topic - "Architecture as a profession".  Where topics such as: how a project is developed, what skills are needed for an architect, what additional professions are included, what stages architects have to go through, both in the learning process and when mastering the profession, will be discussed.  The master class will be held by: graduates of the architecture program - Luka Kobalia and Natia Cheishvili, the head of the program - Mariam Menabde.

 

Second stage - workshop

Participants will be given a practical task, the topic of which they will learn on the day of the master class.  Contestants will have the opportunity to convey their ideas in the form of a writing, sketch, tablet or presentation.  Necessary requisites for work will be provided to the participants on the spot. 

 

The works of the contestants will be evaluated by a specially selected jury.

 

The winners of the competition will be given study vouchers of Caucasus University:

 

The winning team will receive a 8,000 GEL training voucher.

The second-place team will receive a 6,000 GEL training voucher

The third-place team will receive a 4,000 GEL training voucher

 

The member of the teams will receive 1/4 of the voucher allocated for the team. The voucher will be distributed over 4 years and will finance the undergraduate tuition fees at Caucasus University. Vouchers can be used by students enrolled in Caucasus University in the 2023-2024 academic year.

 

Only teams composed of XII class students can participate in the competition.  The team should consist of no more than 4 students.  Participation of several teams from one school is allowed.  It is also allowed to make a team from students of different schools.  Participants will have the opportunity to form teams on the spot.
