Public Lecture - The Relationship Between Scientifically Proven and Unverified Texts in the Guide's Narrative on the Example of the Sololaki Tour

11 June 2025

On June 11 at 16:00, a public lecture by Professor Temur Khutsishvili of the School of Tourism will be held at the Caucasus University Library. The lecture is titled "The Relationship Between Scientifically Proven and Unverified Texts in the Guide's Narrative, on the Example of the Sololaki Tour."

The topic has always been relevant in the field of tourism: To what extent should a guide’s narrative be based on documentary and scientifically verified sources? What role should literary or anecdotal passages play during a tour? How should politically or conceptually sensitive topics be presented?

This issue will be interpreted in a particularly interesting way during a Sololaki tour. Temur Khutsishvili will lead a virtual tour of Sololaki, taking into account the context of the problems.
