Training - "Transposition of EU legislation in Georgia"

The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence for EU Policy Transposition (EUPOLTRANS) of Caucasus University will conduct an intensive, high-level training on the Transposition of EU Legislation in Georgia (June 14-15 and 17-18, 2024) on the campus of Caucasus University.

 

The training course will address Georgia's alignment with EU legislation in areas including: labor law, environmental protection, consumer rights, competition policy, public administration, and foreign and security policy. Participants will be introduced to the institutions and policies of the European Union from both historical and contemporary perspectives, and the functioning of decision-making mechanisms will be explored through simulations.

 

The training is designed for students—particularly those in specialties with limited EU-related coursework-as well as media and civil society representatives whose professional activities or interests are connected to any of the following areas:

 

  • Georgia's aspirations and process of integration into the European Union
  • Implementation of the obligations outlined in the association agreement in Georgia
  • Coverage of the European integration process
  • Understanding and researching the European Union and its integration processes
