On January 21-22, the third management meeting of the Erasmus + Institutional Development Project “Academic Integrity for Quality Learning and Teaching” was held in Batumi, hosted by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
Ms. Irena Melua, Director of International Relations and Projects at Caucasus University, Ms. Eka Akobia, Dean of Caucasus School of Governance, who is also the head of the of the project academic member and student services enhancement thematic group, Ms. Elene Jgharkava, Dean of Caucasus School of Business and the head of the lobby dissemination thematic group and Ms. Diana Mchedlishvili, Director of Quality Assurance, who is also the head of the plagiarism university policy thematic group all took part in the management meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the project's European Partners and a consortium member from higher education institutions in Georgia.
During the meeting, participants discussed the results of the use of plagiarism software implemented within the project and project monitoring, dissemination and quality assurance issues. Measures to increase the awareness of academic integrity were planned. The coordinator also provided a presentation on the criteria for submitting the final project report.
The aim of the project is to develop the quality of teaching and learning in Georgia's higher education institutions in accordance with the principles of academic integrity. The project also aims to detect, eliminate and prevent plagiarism cases in Georgian higher education institutions.
