On November 20-23, within the framework of the EU Erasmus + project, - Strengthening the Quality and Relevance of the Third Mission in Georgian Universities - SQUARE”, the NOVA University of Lisbon hosted Georgian partners. From Caucasus University, the Vice-President for Internationalization – Irena Melua and Dean of Caucasus School of Business – Elene Jgharkava attended the event.
Within the framework of the Visit, representatives of Nova University shared with the Georgian partners involved in the project detailed information about the goals and activities of Nova University's third mission and internationalization, as well as the university's science, innovation and Regarding research activities. Consortium member universities had the opportunity to attend Science and Innovation Day at the University of Nova.
Within the framework of the event, the consortium member universities presented a report and results of the third mission pilot activities. The Vice-president for internationalization of Caucasus University – Irena Melua talked about the implemented project "Start a startup from zero” which aimed to deepen cooperation with technoparks operating in the regions of Georgia, conduct practical workshops for beneficiaries of technoparks and promote the development of startup ideas. The final part of the event was dedicated to the discussion of the organizational details of the final project conference and the issues of dissemination to be submitted.
The 3M project consortium is a group made up of 8 Georgian and 2 European universities together with Georgian Ministry of Education and Science and the National Center of Education Quality Enhancement.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality and relevance of the third mission of universities. The project will help raise awareness about the third mission of the universities, increase the capacity of the university community to properly plan the activities of the third mission and evaluate their results.
