On September 11, in the framework of the Erasmus + institutional development project "Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY)", a special meeting was held at Caucasus University for the lecturers/professors of academic writing, Deans of schools and program directors.
During the meeting, the parties discussed updates for the academic writing syllabus on the basis of conducted trainings and courses as well as the issues of implementing Moodle and Turnitin systems so as to check homework using their anti-plagiarism programs.
The main idea of this project is to allow high education institutions in Georgia to enhance their teaching, learning and grading quality while following the principles of academic integrity. The aim of this project is also to expose, eliminate and prevent cases of plagiarism in Georgia’s high education institutions.
The project is one of the main components for detecting and preventing cases of plagiarism in Georgian universities, which will be realized when a special anti-plagiarism program is implemented in the existing electronic learning program Moodle.
