On 8 July, an online stakeholder meeting was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project „Developing Wine and Culinary Tourism through Education, Innovation and Collaboration“ (GastroTour).

The meeting brought together representatives of operating and start-up businesses wine and gastronomy tourism businesses from different regions of Georgia, as well as representatives of the academic sector, Destination Management Organizations (DMO), and other professionals working in the field. The meeting aimed to present the Gastronomy Tourism Platform developed within the GastroTour project, together with the educational resources created under the project, to relevant stakeholders.

Participants were introduced to the learning courses developed within the framework of GastroTour, which are designed to enhance contemporary knowledge and practical skills in the field of wine and culinary tourism. The courses aim to strengthen the professional competencies of students, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs, enhance competitiveness, promote innovative approaches and sustainable practices, and foster closer collaboration between education, research, and industry.

The meeting also featured the presentation of the Self-Assessment Tool, a business assessment tool designed for companies operating in the wine and culinary tourism sector. The tool enables businesses to evaluate their current level of development and provides tailored recommendations to support their further growth, improve operational performance, and enhance their competitiveness.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, during which participants exchanged views and recommendations on the practical application of the project's results, current sectoral needs, and opportunities for future cooperation.
