On June 25-28, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted a work meeting in the framework of Erasmus + Institutional Development Project “Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units - HERD" where the Director of Research Facilitation Department of Caucasus University, Nino Machurishvili, was one of the participants.
The meeting was also attended by the representatives of Nice Cote d'Azur University, who shared their experience with representatives of partner universities of Georgia. The training covered issues of research and development strategy such as purpose, structure, tasks, preparatory steps. Special emphasis was given to support socio-economic challenges related to research activities, transdisciplinary PhD programs, and research-based teaching. The last day of the meeting was dedicated to sharing perspectives of partnerships with European laboratories and universities.
The goal of the project is to enhance research capacity in Georgian higher education institutions through the development of research and development units.
