US Embassy in Georgia is announcing a competition for Professional Practice Program.
Program participants will undergo a five-week internship in state and city government, engage in day-to-day administration, state oversight, and citizen activism.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be Georgian citizens between the ages of 25 and 35;
- Must be fluent in English (have a Paper-Based TOEFL of over 500, IBT of over 60, IELTS scores of more than 6, or have a university-level English language course of at least one semester); If the candidate becomes a semi-finalist and does not have the above document (s), the American Councils will submit them to TOEFL;
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree;
- Must have experience working in the public or non-profit sector (eg, legislative, executive, or non-governmental);
- Must be willing to work in the public sector in the future;
- Must demonstrate leadership and co-operation skills.

The semifinalists will be selected on the basis of the application and will be interviewed at the American Councils' Tbilisi office. The finalists are selected by the Independent Commission on the Washington Office of the American Councils.
