Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, in the framework of the EU Research and Innovation Framework Program - Horizon 2020, is announcing a competition for experienced researchers to win an individual research scholarship of Marie Sklodowska-Curie.
There are two types of individual research scholarships:
- European Research Scholarship
- Global Research Scholarship
European Research Scholarship
Participants:
- Researchers who want to travel to European countries on business trips, or who live in the third world countries of the Horizon 2020 program and want to do research in Europe
- Researchers who want to resume research after a break due to maternity leave or non-research activities
- European researchers working outside Europe who want to return to Europe (Horizon 2020 in the countries of the program) and receive a new research position
To receive a European Research Scholarship, the host must be a member of the European Union or any of the countries associated with the Horizon 2020 program.
The duration of the scholarship is from one to two years.
Global Research Scholarship
Participants:
- Citizen of the EU Member and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries that require helps to find research outside Europe
The duration of the scholarship is from two to three years.
The researcher returns and spends one year in the European Union and / or Horizon 2020 program associated country organization from which he / she left for this research business trip.
Both types of research scholarships provide for three to six months of business trips (so-called Secondments) to any other organization in Europe.
Applications for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Scholarship can be submitted to 5 panels.

Depending on your research interests, you can select one of the 5 panels and apply to it.
Who can participate?
This activity is designed for experienced researchers from all over the world.
Applicants must have a PhD, or at least 4 years of full-time research experience, to submit a final application form.
What is funded by an individual research scholarship?
Marie Sklodowska Curie Scholarships are awarded in all disciplines of science and are funded in all areas of research.
What does this scholarship cover?
The grant provides financial assistance for:
- Living expenses, travel and family expenses;
- Trainings, costs of establishing trade unions;
- The costs of conducting research.
- Project management and indirect costs.
The host organization of the European Union is the recipient of the grant (university in Europe, research center or company)

How to make an application?
The project proposal, including your CV, must be submitted to the portal of the participants of the European Commission.
The project proposal must be prepared together with the host institution.
