The Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation is announcing the 2018 grant competition for mobility and international scientific events.

Aim of the competition:

 

By exchanging information and sharing experiences, strengthen local scientific potential and promote integration and cooperation in the international scientific field of science, development and popularization of science, attracting new staff to science and raising the qualifications of young scientists. As well as promoting the publication of scientific papers in international journals and scientific collections.

The main conditions of the competition:

 

Funding under the grant competition will be awarded in two lots:

 

First Lot - Short-term Individual Visit to Participate in a Scientific Event Abroad (Mobility)

The second lot is to organize an international scientific event

 

For mobility

 

Maximum budget for one project: $ 2,000 equivalents in GEL

 

Project implementation period: September 1, 2018 - February 28, 2019

 

For organizing an international scientific event the grant funding requested from the foundation for one project should not exceed:

 

  • 45,000 GEL for organizing an international scientific conference;
  • 45,000 GEL for organizing a seasonal school;
  • 60,000 GEL for organizing a combined event (conference and seasonal school together).
  • Project implementation period: September 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019

Group consultations:

 

  • May 18, 16:00 Foundation Conference Hall - (Registration Form)
  • May 29, 16:00 Foundation Conference Hall - (Registration Form)
  • May 31 - Deadline for submitting questions by e-mail
  • From May 15 to June 5 at 16:00 - deadline of electronic registration in GMUS
  • June 6, 16:00 - Deadline for submitting applications for participation in the competition at the Chancellery of the Foundation
  • June - Determination if the registered projects comply with competition conditions (technical examination)
  • July – Evaluation of the projects registered in compliance with the terms of the competition and identify the winners and approve the General Director of the Foundation by an individual administrative-legal act.
  • August - Publication of competition results

 

It is recommended that individuals and legal entities involved in the project be registered in the Unified Grant Management System (GMUS) involved in the project prior to the electronic registration of projects.
