2023 Scholarship Program of the Government of Japan

Please be informed that as part of the 2023 Japanese Government Scholarship Program (MEXT), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan is announcing scholarships for the Researcher Program for the 2023-2025 academic year. The competition is open to master’s, doctoral students and researchers.

 

Interested candidates must submit the following documents to the Embassy of Japan in Georgia no later than June 24:

  • Application form;
  • Statement on preferred universities;
  • Field of interest and research plan;
  • Mark sheet (for all passed semesters); 
  • Diploma (higher academic degree);
  • Letter of recommendation from the University;
  • Medical certificate;
  • Abstract of thesis (abstracts of bachelor/master thesis are accepted);
  • Certificate of English or Japanese language proficiency (if any);
  • Letter of recommendation from the current employer (only for employed candidates).
