Grant competition to support the participation of Georgian scientists in "Horizon 2020"

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation announces the 2018 grant competition to support the participation of Georgian scientists in the EU Research and Innovation Framework Program - Horizon 2020.

 

Aim of the competition:

 

  1. Promoting the internationalization of Georgian science, supporting the involvement of the Georgian Scientific Society in the EU Research and Innovation Framework Program Horizon 2020
  2. Creation of conditions conducive to the support of Georgian scientists for unification in high-quality international scientific projects, events and international consortiums
  3. Development of opportunities related to the preparation of project proposals for international scientific competitions for Georgian scientists

 

Sub-directions of the competition:

 

  • I lot - EU Project Framework Program Preparatory Grant to be submitted to Horizon 2020 (Maximum project budget: GEL 25,000)
  • II Lot - Grant for organizing a large-scale scientific mediation event (maximum project budget: 60 000 GEL)
  • III Lot - Grant of Mobility of Georgian Scientists for participation in a large-scale mediation event abroad (Maximum project budget: EUR 2,000 equivalent in GEL)

Dates of competition:

 

  1. March 15, 2018 - Announcement of the competition
  2. April 12 and April 20, 2018 - Group Consultations
  3. April 25, 2018 - the deadline for sending questions by e-mail
  4. From April 11 to April 30, 2018 at 16:00 - Deadlines for electronic registration of projects in GMUS
  5. May 3, 2018, 16:00 - Deadline for submission of applications for participation in the competition at the Chancellery of the Foundation
  6. May 2018 - Determining the compliance of the registered projects with the conditions and requirements of the competition
  7. May-June 2018 - Evaluation of projects registered in compliance with the terms of the competition and identification of the winners and approval of the General Director of the Fund by an individual administrative-legal act
  8. June 2018 - Publication of competition results
  9. June 2018 - Concluding grant agreements with the leading and co-participating organization (if any) of the winning project (s), the main staff and the scientist.
