The Evaluation System for Exchange Students at Caucasus University is divided into two parts - Interim Evaluation and Final Evaluation.
The overall score for one subject is 100. 100 score is divided into two parts:
- Interim Evaluation – 70 points
- Final Evaluation – 30 points
Interim Evaluation is worth 70 points (which includes - Midterm Examination, presentations, quizzes, group work etc. Interim Evaluation is done before the final examination).
Final Evaluation is worth 30 points (which includes Final Examination).
Students should overcome 51% barrier in both parts:
- Interim Evaluation – 51% out of 70 points (which is 35.7 in scores)
- Final Evaluation – 51% out of 30 points (which is 15.3 in scores)
In order to be allowed to the Final Examination it is mandatory to accumulate 51% out of 70 points in Interim Evaluation.
In order to pass the Final Examination and to earn ECTS, it is mandatory to accumulate 51% out of 30 points in the Final Examination.
Note: If student can’t accumulate minimum score on the Final Examination and has accumulated the overall score minimum 41 in Interim Evaluation (Midterm examination, presentations, quizzes, group works and etc. Interim evaluation is done before the final examination) he/she can retake the final examination only once.
