The "Architecton" competition for entrants took place on the Caucasus University campus from December 16 to 17.
The contestants were given a practical challenge and a master class on the subject of "Architecture as a Profession" in the first stage. In the second stage, the contestants presented their work in the form of sketches, models, and diagrams.
The teams were mentored by Mariam Menabde, head of the Caucasus School of Architecture and Design, and Luka Kobalia and Natia Cheishvili, graduates of the Caucasus University undergraduate architecture program. Mentors gave entrants necessary advice and recommendations in the work process.
Specially invited jury members evaluated entries based on performance, soundness of concept, and presentation skills.
The competition winners received Caucasus University study vouchers.
The winning team received an 8,000 GEL training voucher.
The second-place team received a 6,000 GEL training voucher.
The third-place team received a 4,000 GEL training voucher.
The competition was limited to teams made up of twelfth grade students.
