On the initiative of the Student and Organizational Events Service of Caucasus University, on June 8, the backgammon championship of Caucasus University, named after Valeri Telia, was held in CU.
About 150 students and employees of the Caucasus University took part in the championship.
After tense and emotional matches, the winners received awards from the president of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, and the family members of Valeri Telia.
Prize places were distributed as follows:
I place - Beka Beridze (student of Caucasus School of Technology)
II place - Zviad Dzidziguri
III place - Mikheil Baramidze
The winners was given a monetary award, a backgammon named after the championship and a transitional trophy.
Vouchers for the CU bookstore "Librarea" and Caucasus University branded gifts were given to all three winners.
Also, our friend company Corners.ge gave its voucher to the winner. This championship was held for the first time, but it is set to become a tradition.
