Basque Culinary Center Representative Visits Caucasus University

On June 8, Alberto Rodriguez, the International Development Manager of Gastronomic Programs at one of the world's leading culinary centers, Basque Culinary Center, visited Caucasus University.

 

The guest was hosted by the President of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, who took him on a tour the campus.

 

During the visit, Alberto Rodriguez met with Dr. Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University, Buba Lezhava, Vice President of Caucasus University, Irena Melua, Director of the Department of International Relations and Projects and Keti Karbaia, International Relations Manager.

 

During the meeting, the guest was introduced to the culture and traditions of Georgia as one of the most in demand and rapidly developing countries in gastronomic tourism. The parties also discussed the offer of joint programs for both Georgian and international students.

 

Within the framework of a new project, which will be implemented by Caucasus University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a Basque Culinary Academy will be opened in Gurjaani in 2022, which will offer joint vocational education programs to interested parties.
