Basque-Georgian Gastronomic Congress

On March 1-3, the Basque-Georgian Gastronomic Congress - "Culinary Connection Euskadi-Georgia" was held for the first time in Kachreti. the Academy of Gastronomy of the Caucasus University was one of the supporters of the event.

 

Over the course of three days, the congress welcomed over 250 attendees. The program featured panel discussions, presentations, and a cooking show led by famous Basque and Georgian chefs. Additionally, chefs from hotels and restaurants across Georgia were invited to participate in the event.

 

It should be noted that the construction of the Caucasus Academy of Gastronomy is currently underway in Gurjaani, in collaboration between the Basque Culinary Center and Caucasus University. This academy aims to provide students with professional educational programs of international standards, where both foreign students and Georgian youth can study together.

 

The Academy of Gastronomy of the Caucasus University will significantly contribute to the development of gastronomic tourism in the country, and make a significant contribution to the economic development of the Kakheti region and Georgia in general.
