The event of the "Gastronomic Bootcamp" project

On July 14, the event of the project - "Gastronomic Bootcamp" was held at Caucasus University.

 

Within the framework of the project, the chefs of the Basque Culinary Center conducted trainings for working chefs in Georgia from July 11 to July 14.

 

The trainings were carried out by Caucasus University within the framework of cooperation with USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program, the Basque Culinary Center and the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association, for the project "Gastronomic Bootcamp". 

 

The final event was chaired by the Vice-President of Caucasus University, Buba Lezhava, and the following people also spoke at the event: General Director of the Skills Agency of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili; Head of USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program, Rosa Chiappe; Director of Master's Programs of the Basque Culinary Center, Idoya Kaleja; Director of the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association of Georgia, Tamriko Sikharulidze; Professor of the Basque Culinary Center, Alberto Rodriguez; Director of the Department of International Relations and Projects, Irena Melua.

 

The event was also attended by: Irina Tserodze, head of private sector engagement of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program.

 

Within the framework of the event, a memorandum was signed between Caucasus University and the Basque Culinary Center, as well as the Caucasus University and the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association of Georgia, which envisages future cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.

 

At the end of the event, the chefs participating in the trainings were given certificates confirming their participation.
