Smart City - live in a better city

On January 28-29, Caucasus University's Startup Accelerator - C10, whithin the grant of Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency held hackathon called - Smart City - Live in a Better City.  The event was co-organized by the startup accelerators management company "Blender". 

 

Hackathon's ain goal was to create something innovative which would make our capital better. Teams had 2 days in order to achieve this goal. 

 

Despite the limited time, teams showed great ideas and moreover they made prototypes of their own ideas.

 

From more thant 40 applicant teams, only best 15 were selected. Although, fifteen team had wonderful ideas, only 4 team won the award category.

 

Valar - Mobile Wallet. An app that is being attached to user's bank account and automatically alerts what has to be paid. For instance, when user gets into a bus, application offers him to buy a ticket and etc. Team members - Luka Lomtadze and Nika Alavidze. This team got the award with 500 GEL, from Caucasus University because of most original idea.

 

Smart Road - A special power-saving sensor, which will turn on the traffic lights when it will notice another car coming.  Team members : Nikoloz Moniava, Giorgi Ghonghadze, Davit Natadze. They became the "Pasha Bank" prize winners and were awarded with 1000 GEL.

 

 

Doorstory - This is an app that will allow you to learn about the history of different places. When the application is on it strikes you on the map where your location is highlighted. Team members: Giorgi Vekua, Lasha Bokhua. They became the "Zeten" prize winners. Team was awarded with one month free training course on micro controller programming and USB watches which are produced by the Zeten company.

 

CROWD Doundation - the idea of urban and infrastructure projects to be financed by the people to establish a platform that will facilitate the development of the city's technical and aesthetic terms. Team members: Soso Chkhaidze, Tazo Arunashvili, Mariam Amashukeli.Team became GeoGPS prize winner and was awarded with 500 GEL. Also, all three team members will get the internship at the company.
